I want to ask if it is possible to make my all 128kbit mp3s smaller but keep the same sound quality by converting the in some other format. So which format is the best for my phone? Should I convert all my mp3s to m4a, mp4 or some other format. I am using W800i.

Thanks

96kbps AAC would do it. Sounds as good as 128kbps MP3 but takes up 75% of the space.

You'd have to use standard AAC tho, no eAAC / HE-AAC support on the K750/W800.

You might even want to test 64kbps AAC, tho it might sound a bit too rough.

Hi strizlow800,

I've run some tests and depending on the type of music (how complex or busy ) it is you might be able to go even lower

if your tight for space and playing non complex music test 48kbps but for anything complex Mysh's advice is the best.

Let us know how you get on!

PS: I wrote an artical to help someone who has a w800 if you check my next to last post

i use standard AAC 64 kbps all the time for my k750i. its almost the same with 128 kbps mp3s IMO. no serious quality degradation. i think this is great for most since it almost reduces the file size to half.

OK Thanks for help

96kbps aac files are great. I'm going to convert all my mp3s in that format.

Thanks
