> Sony Ericssons have poor signal?

I've noticed that all SE phones I've used have issues keeping network signal. From the T100 til now the W810. In certain areas where other brands have signal even if it's low my SE says Emergency Calls only until I relocate. Anyone else concurs? Nokia has that distinct advantage over SE.

and ive proven this on a few occasions
The SE k700/750/800 have fantastic signal systems.
The N80 has poor signal and this is a common fault with them.
On occasions my K800i picks up a signal in the countryside but the nokia 6230i doesnt.

yup!! my N80 did have betta signal strenth than my k800i but the N80 had other software issues!!!!!

Yes i do agree. Some SE model are poor. But there new phones dont longer have this problem.
all i can say is check that your handset isnt faulty.

God My N80 had more than software issues.
In the end i swapped it for a k800 and some money.
Im looking to buy the new n95 when its due. Just hope thats better, unless se can come out with one better

It's very subjective to say one brand is better than another. All phone models will behave differently. This also comes down to the telco provider and their cell distance/power output. Either way, all phones seem to be generally getting better. We use older phones at work everyday ie, T28, 8210, etc, and its clear that their modern counterparts are better at picking up weak signals.

@dar - The N95 is a nice Nokia model fone I have to agree . . . I hope it has a BETTER reception compared to it's -
