i don't think that the letters stands for anything in particular, except maybe walkman. I fail to see how "camera" is related to K... Kamera perhaps The T series was re named K series, btw

Motorola already has a C series so K was available (to avoid confusion).

The T series was carried over from Ericsson and was let go.

The J series is more than likely the junior series as they are smaller and less featured.

The F series has me at a blank as they are similar to the K series in some respects but inferior. F is kinda the baby of the K series in that if you like the design but are a technophobe, you will get by with the F series.

So the F is the user Friendly series.

S is for swivel. the Z series should have been called C for clamshell.

SonyEricsson have a lot of swedish history....check out in swedish....maybe it give you some hint. I donno too....

but i remember once there's someone posted here in esato explaining why clam shell is z series

look at Z600....from the side of the phone...you notice the hinge area look like having a "Z" shape. Or is it from mobile-review.com?

the "k" i think was for "knife" as it was like a swiss army knife because it had so many features
