Ok i know its off topic
But i have a tele2 router box (for cheaper calls) is it ok to attach to my landline or are these things just a rip off ?

I suppose it might be cheaper, there's too many companies now pretending to phone companies. Which is bad cause their customer services is usually awful, they'll stitch you every time. But in this day and age, who doesn't!

Yes it is a little box that you connect to your landline. But the thing is although i got it from the UK Post office i still dont trust the thing. I might be getting paranoid but i think it may be an easy way for someone to romotely hack the box and make phone calls on my bill.
Or have i just seen too many bad films?

I've never seen the inside of one, but I guess it just routes calls via a prefix if they match certain criteria - local calls via BT and long distance via Telephones-R-us for example.
Don't dial 001 though, cos that'll get you straight through to MI5
