Well all I can say is that this year it seems as though SE has been somewhat a disappointment innovation wise. There have been no, if not very few, innovative phones this year from SE.
Sure, I know that SE's product range has been beefed up this year; especially the mid range. But that doesn't give an excuse to the lack of interesting products this year. Every other year, there's been something that has been class leading from SE. Last year there was the W900 (so many things into one), and in previous years there were things like the S700.
Even the flagship product, the K800 isn't really as much of a step up in comparison to previous years. It, and the rest of SE's current portfolio, was marred by the sub standard video recording capabilities which are not up to market standards.
Then there were the significant delays on phones, most notably the P990 and M600/W950. They've taken far too long, and for the first two, they haven't been up to scratch performance wise either.
The decision to separate brands permanently was OK for market share, but there still as I've said, was no real product leader.
Too many product spin offs was not to appealing either. There was the K610/K618/V630 and then the Z610 with identical specs. There's been too many spin offs in comparison to new products: Z550/Z558, W300/Z530, W850/W830, K310/K320, M600/M608, W710/Z710, W700/W800.
I don't have a problem with the fact that SE wants to make money, but this year, things have been moving far too slowly. There needs to be more movement next year. The phones this year have been nice but not head turningly brilliant.
Hopefully next year we can expect some change. Forty phones sounds brilliant, and from the rumours, we can expect a large change from this year. Some really nice products coming up
Don't take it wrong though. SE still is the best, but this year it's been lagging a bit behind compared to the previous years.

Hopefully, they'll come up with something innovative like N95.

k8 could have been a great fone, but "not that much advantage" after k750 imo next to it way too big, its really only for pic lovers.

i think the leap from the k750i to the k800i is comparable to the leap from the s700 to the w900
se had a great year.. there was no need to roll out more "cool" products cause they're too busy milking the mid-range and it looks like it might be that way for a while.
sorry guys that's just how business works...
let's hope they throw us some kitchen scraps of hightech next year

I think SE are preparing something very good. In my opinion if they're not present to the market with new inovative products for a long time there are 2 possibilities:
1. Their company is going down (which definately is NOT the situation with SE)
and
2. They're cooking something very good, wild and very useful.
So the second opinion is more reliable. I think the next year they're going to launch a Wi fi phone, walkman phone with more than 2 speakers or something inovative. Sometimes they can make something that any other mobile company can't so the only thing we need to do is to wait.
Thanks
