> M4A Tags in W800i
Bookmark topic
I converted a load of tracks from Mp3 to M4a.
I entered all the Tag information in to the M4a files.
My walkman in the W800i won't display the tags. Is there anyway for the w800i walkman to show the tags?
Thanks

Fraid not.
Was taken out of the newer firmwares for some reason.
However you may find that restoring your phone to an ealier firmware will read the files correctly, the trade-off probably isn't worth it. I'd take some time re-importing those songs to MP3...

Sorry if I'm asking something else in this thread, but which is the software you used to convert your mp3s to m4a files?

With the M4a files I can fit about 650 songs on to my 1gb mem stick. Same quailty in MP3 I can only get 325 songs on it. I have all the songs in mp3 format on my pc. I just converted to M4a so that I can squeeze 600+ songs on my 1gb mem card.
Is there a patch for Far Manager to fix this???
I used the free Apple ITunes Software.

OK, but which are the parameters you apply to get the same quality songs. What is the m4a bitrate, and which do i need to apply to get the same quality on smaller size?

Hi strizlow800,
I did quite a large article on m4a/mp4 encoding
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=132026
even though it's a k800i thread I added a w800 content to my last post for another forum member

I use the 48 kbps (Stereo) 44,100 kHz for my M4a files. I believe this is equivalant to 96kbps in MP3 format.
