The plugin will install when you load a game... unless... your security settings in IE restricts you to run any ActiveX components.

Tools -> Internet Options -> Security
Click the Internet icon, then Custom level... make sure Download unsigned ActiveX controls is set as Prompt, also make sure none of the other ActiveX options are set as Disabled...
