Is it possible that I CAN transfer files but CANNOT receive

Are you using a pc or a mac?
if using a pc did you install the disc that came with the bluetooth dongle before you plugged it in or are you using built in WindowsXP drivers?

Actually, there had been several occassions that I've experienced this matter.
It is so evident in the SPV E200, Qtek 8080, 02 (aka Smart Amazing Phone 2). I guess its all about the file size receiving capacity & BT version of the phone that restricts its receiving capacity.
It always happened that any file that exceeded 200kb appeared to have been transferred sucessfully but you could not find the file transferred in any of the file folders for that particular model. Have not experienced the same with any /// or SE model yet.

wrong pc settings and/or requests to access the phone from the pc are blocked (com ports not set properly on the pc durin setup)
if using a pc, allow network connection to proceed durin setup (can be blocked after for extra security)
