> Sony Ericsson Takes TOP Spot From Motorola !

Sony Ericsson has gotten some reaffirmation that using its popular brand names, such as Walkman and CyberShot, for cellphones is working. Strategy Analytics reports in a new study that Sony Ericsson has been crowned the world's fastest-growing mobile vendor for the third quarter.
The previous company to hold the crown was Motorola, which has held the fastest-growing title since the first quarter of 2005. The author of the study believes Motorola lost its title due to "Razr mania" peaking. The market as a whole also had reason to celebrate, since 256 million cellphones shipped during the third quarter, putting the research company's forecast of one billion cellphones within reach.
It was pretty ingenious when Motorola started the craze of giving phones catchy names rather than simply branding them with model numbers. Unfortunately, the newness of that idea is beginning to wear off, and it's clear the company is stretching to keep new phones associated with the popularity of the RAZR with other names such as SLVR and ROKR.

What i want to know is how was Motorola in the TOP spot to begin with?? I mean, all their phones to date are PANTS!!! They only even started putting bluetooth on their most recent phones. Will never emigrate from Sony Ericsson!!!
