Ok sorry to start a new thread but this is doing my head in now! It's simple things which are turning me off my P990i. My biggest bug bear is when you create a SMS over 160 charaters long you have to confirm yo want to send 2 SMS. Ok not so much of a problem but if you forget and think you've sent the text it doesn't save to draft. It's just gone! This means you can think you've texted somebody or answered their text and you haven't. So simple but so damn annoying!! I've lost a few texts this way.

I have reports on so I get a bleep when it's delivered but if I'm busy I don't hear it all the time. I could live with it as it is if I could turn off the long SMS notification and it would send 2 or 3 SMS without the prompt.

I tend to get this problem most when I've been drinking so may not be a bad thing in some ways

edit: that's the SMS problem before you smart arses start! haha

Ha ha, i'm fine after a beer but its when i get passed a funny cigarette, i check me email & write 6 page replies to people detailing every possible avenue of conversation.

i still havnt got a P990 & cant help thinkin the loss of 5 way jog will be enormously frustrating, for example whats your view on theis, as almost every time i use Pseries phones i use all five jog positions, how does P990 make up for the loss of those jog options.

I've not missed it that much at all to be honest but then I was never a big user of it anyway. I do however much prefer the 5 way navigation key on the flip. big plus for me that.

@Pachy

Im 100% with you on that, cant work the phone but at least i can roll another!!!

With regards to the Jog Dial it depends i would say... Are you gonna be Flip ON or Flip OFF?

Im a Flip ON man... Been playing with one all day (mines on the way) and can safely say that usage has not been compromised with the design changes... The 4-way Pad makes up for the lack of 5-way Jog Dial and having the Jog Dial on the other side makes sense for flip open operation with the phone in the left hand and the stylus in the right...

@Caspa,
k maaan... LOL Well i use jog to lock, unlock with flip on OR off & for sub menu options but sounds like the pad makes up for it,
nearly bought one today actually but every day i look on ebay (even local personal pick up sellers to avoid fraud) they seem to be a tenner cheaper, a few a day go for under £300 !!!!
& £260 i missed one for, these arent Hong Kong sellers these are the ones i trust with good feedback scores, its a bit worrying.

Just ordered mine... £100 for phone, then £13 per month for 12 months... so £256 in total so well chuffed!

Think you'll be cool with the changes, like the new keylock for example...
