> How to unlock k800i?
Bookmark topic
Sorry if this post is in wrong section. I am new to this site.
I live in the US and recently just bought a K800i from Ebay that is locked to 3G, UK network. Can anyone tell me how I can get the phone unlocked so I can use it with GSM networks in the US. Thanks

You'll need to get the network unlock code from 3/Three themselves. So you're going to have to call them from the US (which will cost a fair bit) and explain the situation. Don't expect it to come cheap either!

And they might make a stink about it, too.

@shell111405,
By the time you pay the international call charges to speak to them which will definitely be a long call, plus if they do it they will charge from my understanding from others between £20-£50 it may be cheaper buying a new phone sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Currently, only
themselves or service providers can unlock the DB2020 phones(K800 onwards), although many third parties are working on it, for obvious reason$......
....there is a rumour that ONE team has done so; not substantiated yet tho'....
