Ciao!

I tryed a solution searching in your forum but i didn't find anything similar.

The problem: my department uses WIFI with WPA2 with certificates.
The good news is that the P990i apparently have all the tool for the connection to this type of complicated wifi network!! the nokia N80 of one of the sysman NOT!

The bad thing is that, as the department has its certificate, i have (with the browser and UMTS connection) downloaded and installed the certificates for the connection.
After that i tryed to connect and the P990i REBOOTed

My sysman logged te connection and notice that everything was OK till the moment of the reboot.

The technical specification of the net is:
Authe: WPA
Net: infrastr
Crypto: AES
Auth: EAP-TTLS (N80 doesn'y have this option!)
Internal Auth: EAP-Md5
user: xxx
pass: xxx

Comments? Suggestions?
Bye

The problem is that your P990 does not have all the tools you need in this case.
It doesn't support WPA2.
(Unlike the N80)

...ummm...

...WPA2 is only WPA with AES or not?
I know that precedent version ov WPA didn't have the possibility of using AES...but the P990i has the possibility of using AES, you can choose in the menu!

I know also that another difference is the possibility of using 4 way handshake...the p990i doesn't support it?

I am very interested...where can I read something about the real possibilities of the P990 WIFI?

Thanks!

Why not try the P990i whitepaper.

Well the white paper is one thing and the phone they released is something else. If you can find someone that got it to work with a similar set up I stand corrected. Maybe the topic title should read 'P990i + * = reboot.'
