I ahve serached the forums but have had no luck finding any help and the SE site is useless!!
I have tried to install and run the SE Update program but keep getting the same error message:
Incompatible Macromedia version. Required verision available from
http://www.macromedia.com. Application will terminate.
I have tried installing and running the progrma on several different machines, all Win XP Pro SP2. I have tried under IE7, IE6, running Flashplayer versions 8.22, 8.24 amnd the latest 9 relaes.
Has anybody else had the same problem? Does anyone have a workaround?

I don't have any problems with the update service (other than my Vodafone branded phone will not pick up the latest firmware).
I have looked at my Expolrer addons and noticed that I am running "Adobe Flash Player 9 Activex" and not the Macromedia version.
Maybe this is your problem.
Try uninstalling Macromedia and teh SE PC Suite reinstalling just the PC Suite. When I installed the SE PC Suite, it was on a clean Windows install without Flas and was asked to install it. This seemed to work for me.
