When I try, using SE PC Suite, to syncronise my data using Outlook 2007, the only choice I get of Outlook is Outlook Express. No good!
Is this, I believe the latest SE Suite, compatible with Outlook 2007?
If not, is there a better free progarm I can use to syncronise my stuff from my PC?
Thanks
Doug

I'm using Outlook 2007 without any problems synching with my P990 and have been doing so since I got the phone a couple of months ago. Have you still got Outlook Express installed? If so uninstall it and try re-installing PC suite. Also ensure that Outlook is the default mail program. Hope this helps

Hi Martin. As far as I know, I don't have Outlook Express on my machine unless it came as part of the Office 2007 bundle. I never installed it separately. If it's there, can it be uninstalled without losing the rest of the Office Suite? As far as I know, Outlook 2007 is the default program.
The last thing I want to do is go back to Office 2003.

Doug,

In remove programs, look in the windows components and if outlook express is there, remove it. OE is a component of windows rather than Office. Unfortunately I can't remember exactly what I did when I installed PC suite but if all else fails, it may be worth choosing OE if that's all that shows up and see what happens.

Hi Doug,
My advice is don't try and uninstall Outlook express as although i have never used it the last time i removed it, it shares so many .dlls and other things i ended up having to reformat and re load the whole computer which i promise was not fun.

Personally i think you need to go into the sync set up of PC suite and check all the drop down options are set to Outlook not the express version even check which folders they are trying to sync with hope it works for you as a smartphone that won't sync with Outlook is pretty useless really.

Thanks Martin. It does synch with OE fine, trouble there is nothing in there as it's all in Outlook 2007! Will have a look, I did not remove it. I thought I read somewhere that the PC Suite only supported Office 2003, there was no mention of 2007. If you're using it, that can't be right.
Give it a go, nothing to lose.

Thanks Marc,
The drop down option only lists Outlook Express, that's the strange thing. In all the options, Outlook proper is not mentioned.
I only got the phone yesterday and it was received from Orange on the 14th so I presume the version of PC suite is the latest.

Hi Doug,
If you are using the PC suite that came with the phone on CD i would suggest de installing and then downloading the latest version from the SE website as i am pretty sure a lot of people have had problems with the CD version and the one on the SE site is newer again good luck.

Anyway, even though u use the 2007 (B2TR), it will not show as 2007. In the drop down, all it shows is Outlook 2003. As I upgraded from the Office 2003, I have no issues whatsoever. Can this be your issue? Did you have the 2003 before?
