Hi,

my p990i from orange REALLY likes to jump in with word suggestions but how do I bypass them?

For example, flip closed, I type hell it suggest hello and if I press space, it puts hello. If I press right arrow, it puts hello.

How can I just tell it NO I'm happy with the letters I've typed so far???? surely it's something stupid that I'm missing lol but I cant see it

Thanks for the reply!

In one way, at least I know I'm not going mad in another way though, whoever coded it at SE must be utterly mad

It isnt a solution to this at the moment unfortunately! It really sucks bigtime, the new system has been over-developed beyond any practical use.

That is the single most annoying feature of the phone. I posted about this exact thing elsewhere.

Naturally, when you have the letters you want and it suggests additional ones to make up another word, you should just click space to progress with the next word ignoring its suggestions...... but it doesn't! Its not logical nor does it seem very well thought out. Someone at "product testing" screwed up big time.

If anything, this is a feature that seriously needs looking into.

Sorry, but I did just the thing you said you did with "hell" and pressing space just keeps it and moves on. Didn't get anything I didn't want there.

Mine is sim-free.

I initially complained about a few issues with predictive text but no one else had a problem so I thought maybe im being picky.

Is your FW up to date? And is yours branded or simfree?
