Hi all!

Not been on here for 18 months or so as I bought my own PDA and have been using that.

Now my contract has run out I upgraded...or downgraded from my PDA?...lol

I got the K800i and first impressions are good.

I did debrand my old SE but cant remember the outcome of it! lol

Anyway. I want to debrand my K800i from vodafone.
The trouble is that I want to keep the vodafone live settings etc as I will use allot of that.

There are a few menu icons that are called "vodafone live" etc. What will they change to if I debrand?

Can I use the cable that came with the phone? I see you need a DCU-60..but I don't know if the one I have is one of them. Cant see it anywhere!

Can I add all of the live settings again after?

Can I backup my current firmware if I don't like the debrand one?

Would it be better to update from the SE site and get there firmware rather then debrand completely?

Sorry for the many questions!

Many thanks
Mat

the SE site won't debrand at all - it will put the customisation pack specified for your phone's imei.

www.se-nse.net have some great guides for firmware upgrading

yep if you can afford an online solution such as davinci or wotan that's the hassle free way. I used wotan to debrand my K800 (there is no free solution for cid 51/52 phones at this stage)
