When did the damage occur? If it was recently like this morning, take the battery out IMMEDIATELY. If you feel confident enough, take the phone apart as much as you feel competent to do. Then put the phone somewhere warm and dry and leave it there for a good 2-3 days to dry out.

Don't worry about invalidating warranties as they don't usually cover water/liquid damage. At least take the battery out and leave to dry, the worst thing you can do is leave the battery in

yes there is hope.

i dropped my 910 in my pool around 5 months ago, it remained submerged for 5 mins before i noticed it. I took it out, removed the battery and let it dry for a day or two. Inserted the battery and it worked. the only things that didn't work were the parts that my cousin had melted when using the hair dryer in an attempt to dry it faster.

Soaked my m600 as well (no i did'nt learn the first time round) and let it dry, it worked fine afterwards.

So the best thing is take out battery ASAP, let the phone be for a day or two in a warm place without the battery cover & do not use a hair dryer it'll just melt the damn thing. Do not attempt to insert the battery & switch on unless you are sure or guess it's 100% dry.

There were many rumours about SE going down the toilet over the years, & this looks like proof, LOL

anyone looked at the ipaq 6800 series, it could be the P990i without the buttons some of us have been looking for. built in GPS is nice touch.
