Hi

This is a quite strange problem I am facing here, and I believe I didnt have it before.

I took out my Memory Stick after 2-3 months for the first time to update some files on it, and then I put it back. All worked fine, except that my alarm tone didnt sound up the next day and I overslept I checked the phone, went to the Sound Setting, and I was able to play the tone I set for the alarms. I set an alarm for 2 mintues later, and waited. Again, the alarm goes off on the screen, but no sound at all. I tried ringing my phone, but it also acts as muted, even though it isnt. I thought it was some bug with the phone, restarted and all worked fine. A week later I removed the stick again to update a few word files, and the next day I overslept again, what I nightmare. This was the moment when I connected the Stick removal and the muted alarm and ringtone. A restart fixed it again.

Anybody experience this before? What can I do to fix it?

Thanks

Ben

This did happen to me once on my 910. I think that I lost the file of off the card even tho it appeared to be there, I had to bluetooth the file back into the 910 from an older phone. In the mean time to stop oversleeping do sound files from the internal memory work?

That is a thought there.... Never thought of it, probably because this thing never happened before.

On the other hand the file is not missing in my case, as when I restart the phone, it works like a charm.

I will move all sound to Internal memory, and be done with it.
THanks

The same happened to me today in the morning. Thanks the vibra motor of p990i was loud enough to wake me up.

I set up the alarm with the standard wake up sound -> a sound from the internal memory!!!

Hi

Yes, solution is confirmed, once I moved the Tones to Internal memory, it works like a charm. I wonder how come I didnt realize this problem earlier, even though I took the card out several times in the past, and always had alarms set and my tones on the stick..... hmmm.... makes me wonder.

Anyways, happy now with my stable phone..

Cheers
