hi am using this to download files and my download speed is basically the same myb a kb more is there anyway to make it faster?

im not using p2p programs cureently downloading a link from sendspace with download accelerator.on aol boradband supposed to be 1mbs but onli 512kbs as they havent upgraded us yet lol.
tried it with flashget as well but still no luck the same speed.

The download will only go as fast as the server that is hosting the file and the WAN that it is connected to. Also, if loads of people are downloading the file at the same time, this will also result in slower download speeds.
It's a complex business, servers often have more than website hosted on them meaning that, even if the site that you're downloading from isn't busy, it doesn't mean that the server isn't.
The point is, it's probably not your computer or connection that's at fault, more likely the website. Download accelerators are useless, and often contain adware. Don't even think about using one. There are some windows XP tweaks that can sometimes help, but they generally don't produce massive improvements.

yeh its just someone on the download sites i go to sed they made it alot fasta then a load of otha guys sed it worked as well

all sorted now..
i wouldnt use a Dl acc... did no good when i was on dia up..
