Swiss Manager seems to be helping my P990i but once somehow or another swiss.mgr after running a couple of apps has a tendency of turning itself off......is that normal?

Yeah, that's normal behavior for Swiss Manager, the free version. It doesn't run as a system app which is why when the P990 needs memory, it shuts Swiss Manager down. The paid Swiss Manager Pro version installs as a system app and won't be shut down when resources are low.

its a configuration issue, look at Lisa's answer in previous thread:

"Most probably the operating system closes Swiss Manager due to low memory. To prevent it, enable the Settings/Behavior/Resist exit requests option."
