> K800i IRDa TV Remote?

Is it possible to use the IR port on SE fones (K800i) to control TV and other electronics devices? Or can some software be configured to do that? I saw a Nokia "smartfone"(actually a BenQ rebranded) have this capability! Wondered if it is possible on ours? WOUld be really a cool feature dont u guys think?

AFAIK, no, it's not posible. Apart from the fact that SE Infra red is short distance (about 20cm), not really usefull as remote control.

If the goal is to controll the TV with your phone then I guess it would work to; Get a computer controlled IR remote and then program a BT remote to controll the IR remote software on your PC.
