Hi im goin to live in Dubai soon and was wondering how advanced there phones are there, and how cheap are phones there, if you could post me any details relavant to this it would be greatly appreciated.

There is a monopoly on the communications service. SO ur tele line, mobile line & ISP are all from the same company (Etisalat
http://www.etisalat.co.ae/index2.htm). arse'oles! GSM coverage is good. U can choose from prepaid or line rental for both GSM & landlines.

Well there isn't much do do here for entertainment. When expats try to organise an event it just becomes sad! Also you need a car to go everyehere as places are far away from each other & taxi cabs are SMELLY! The radio stations are the worst! They all have some expat DJ that's full of theirselvs
