I have had this K800i for the last two months and have kept it very clean and tidy. However, when juggling between SIM cards this evening, I switched it off and it will not switch on again. The battery was almost full last time it was on. The power button looks fine to me. What could the reason be and could anyone helpe me solve the problem? Thank you

White Screen of Death. It needs EROM upgrade to R3A016, that's the expert says.

This I know sounds a bit dumb and obvious, but have you tried taking the battery out for a couple of minutes, re-inserting it and see what happens?

Have you also tried charging it - not because the batt's flat but to see if you get anything lighting up at all. Is there any life in the phone at all? Keypad lighting up, red LED, vibra motor going on startup? anything?

hmm, not good!

More likely option is a software problem, but have you access to a different battery? could be you've got a dud battery. The phone should still be under warranty so I imagine should be fixable free of charge.

The phone hasn't been used anywhere in the wet - e.g. in the rain, in the bathroom whilst your having a long bath, too near the sink and been splashed, etc.?

Sounds most likely a software problem to me. Hope you don't mind the silly questions, just wanted to rule out anything simple as being the problem.

I'd say take the phone back to wherever you got it, or back to for a warranty repair/replacement, unless you fancied having a go at the firmware yourself, but you might as well take advantage of the warranty!
