i recently had my o2 number ported to 3g. this happened last week, but as i haven't had my 3g handset i couldn't test out til today. anyway i can make calls and send text messages but cant recieve texts or calls. i know the phone is ok, and in not having much luck wit the customer services. any ideas? have tried turning phone on and off but still not workin. grr
when i try callin the number it says number not known

hi, when u trying to dial number (u gonna make only video call as selected on network 3) probably problem could be that the person does not have 3G handset or if he have, he could be out of coverage or somethin...

actualy im not to sure about the network "3" service...but u r saying that u have got your sim card first and after u have got handset...so probably u dont have SMS settings on your cell phone...unless there is somethin i dont realy know about 3G network usage yet...sorry man if my reply doesnt seems to be helpful
