i scratched the top screen lens of my k800i so i went and bought a replacement part from cnn.cn, http://cnn.cn/shop/sonyericsson-k800i-lens-p-829.html .. does anyone know the steps needed to install it; do i need to removal the whole housing apart? or is it much simpler then that?

if it's like some of my older phones (810i included) the plastic lcd
protector is held to the front housing with double sided sticky tape.
Just pry it up carefully so as to not damage the front housing.

The link that A L 3 X posted is easiest. The W810 screen just pulls out/pushes out from underneath.

having now owned an 800 - i'll retract that previous posting

The k800's lcd lens is held in place by the metal face. This clips to the
main chassis of the phone and for safetys' sake you'll want to do a
total strip down to replace the lens.

http://www.formymobile.co.uk/Dismantle/k800disassembly.htm
This will get your k800 apart.

Once you have the fascia free look at the insides ... you'll see 3 'U'
shaped clips on each side, gentle pry these apart to free the metal
piece. once this is free the lens can be pulled up and away from the
rest of the chassis - mine had some double sided tape on it so a little
force was required !!!
