Is SE ever going to put an option on calendar to save birthdays like the nokias do? I find this feature much better than making it a plain appointment.

its already in there, u need to go to contact and put it in the user info, it will reflect in the calendar.
the only negative part, is if the user doesnt have a mobile, like a baby or grandma or some one.

well..you could still add contacts without a phone number and still add their birthdays and what not.
