Hi
i ve got SE p990i just today . i charged abt 1 hours . and surprisingly it charged at full 100 % and in within 10 minutes battery down to 4 % .
my firmware is R7A001 which is latest by SE .
So what could be the probelm?

well u really are meant to charge it for longer the first time try about 4hrs

mate,try to charge it 4 hours. Ignore the status on the phone because i have the same status but still i charge it 4 hours and 2 days is the longest day i get with the phone(watching movies 4 hours,calling,texting,listening to music 20 mins,playing games,taking pictures,browsing the internet).

let the phone run out completely out of battery. then start charging it again. batteries sometimes need couple of full discharges in the beggining before they stabilize.

yes mate,try to discharge the battery. I always discharge the battery before charging it and see the result 2 days of full actions

To be honest you battery should not go as flat like that regardless of charging your phone.

Your battery seems to be faulty
(I see this every day in my job)

If the phone is new, then take it back and get a replacement.
