This is the first time I have posted here but I know you guys have some really good knowledge.
I have always used SE phones but am now looking for a smart phone.
I want to know how the P990 compares to other smart phones (i.e. the SPV's or SDA's etc).
The main thing I want is for the basic phone features to be easy to use (i.e. txting and calling people).
Any thoughts and comments are appreciated.

Hooooold on. If you just want a phone for calling people and sending SMSs, you don't need a P990. Heck. You don't need a smartphone.
What do you NEED a smart phone for?
The P990's a serious business phone. It's got it's bugs (memory management), but it really is a business phone. It's not sexy, it's not convenient (small to carry around). But then again, that goes for most smartphones.
Now. That being said. If you want the functions of a smartphone 'just because', I'd go for Motorola Ming. Small, sexy, sleek, functional. Only reason I didn't get it, is because i like having a dialpad.
If you find you NEED a smartphone, P990 is GREAT except for that one bug. But it's a pretty big problem. It's nothing you can't get around, but it's a bit of a bother. The other phon I would suggest is HTCs TyTN. But I don't like it cos it's Winblows based.

Thanks bandit.
I have a friend that has the XDA Exec and like the full web browsing msn and video play back but it is windows based.
I would benefit from the smart phone features but what I meant is that with that I want it to be easy to use as a phone when I need to. I don't want the extra fuss of carrying a PDA as well as phone I would be nice to have it all in one. Size is not a big concern for me.

Er @bandit, whats wrong with the TYtn being Windows based?
I thought WM 5.0 was a good platform. Any unsavoury experiences??
