That includes a staggering £50,000 on calls and texts plus £15,500 buying new handsets.
Accessories such as hands-free headsets will add another £6,000 while music downloads currently amount to a further £1,000.
The figures emerged in a poll of 2,500 mobile phone users.
It found that 75 per cent of us have at least TWO phones one for work and one for personal use while some even juggle three handsets.
The survey was conducted by CPP Phonesafe insurance.
Spokesman Pete Hall said: Its amazing how much people spend. It shows how important these devices have become to us all.

The vast majority of handsets sold in the U.K are PAYG.....Free handsets are only on contract.
