I was testing out my ringtones today, so I decided to ring myself with the house phone. All was fine when my ringtone came on, but then my call got diverted really quickly. I decided to time it and it only takes 15 seconds before a call gets diverted to my voicemail. Just wondering is this normal? Can't say I really paid attention with my previous phones, but I'm pretty sure my old Nokia 8910i would ring for MUCH longer before being diverted.

So is it normal for a phone to only ring for 15 seconds before being diverted? Note I do want to keep this divert on, but is it possible to extend the ringing time?

generally speaking, its not a "phone thing", its a network thing

see this recent thread for more details

some smartphones can control this directly as I recall as far back as my old nokia 9110 could do so, but otherwise the standard answer you'll fine here is what is outlined in the posts there
