> WiFi Routers That Work With The P990i
Bookmark topic
After reading people's questions/problems with wireless routers, i thought it would be helpful if everyone who has successfully got WLAN working listed their router type, it would act as a list of recommendations for propective buyers.
I have a BT Home Hub and it works great. It was dead easy to set up and worked first time.
Cheers,
Dave

Nice idea having this thread, saves a lot of hassle for us to find which routers are compatible.
btw. Safecom router does not work.

d-link (Dl-524), linksys works.
i have these working with 128 WEP, or encryption free.
they are setup to work on both b and g standards, so the P990i can pick up the signals.
maybe this is the issue ppl are having, The P990i only supports 802.11b, and maybe the newer routers, the MIMOs and such, maybe these do not support the "OLD" b frequency. hmmmmm....

Belkin wirless G Plus Router. routers that run mixed b and g do work becuase that is what mine is running on. It wont work if your router is broken and i have had a linksys brand new but broken. G mimo would be fine but they are very fancy and likey to turn into bricks like what has happened to me twice. Sturdy G routers will be fine.
Check that WEP is shared or open and that you have entered all 13 pairs.
WPA also works and the web browser operates normally with SSID hidden
