Since many of you already have P990 for a longer time, I would highly appreciate some tips regarding P990 camera i.e. what setting is, based on your experience best in certain situation (e.g. night, indoor, outdoor etc.) in order to get maximum quality pictures.
I apologies if I somehow missed this information in previous threads.

Well, from the day one I use to get beautiful pictures with my P990. I was seeking for some advice from users with more knowledge in the field of photography as I am a real amateur it that field. And I know that there is much to learn in that area.

My advice is to use it mainly for close up photos, with macro mode on...right now, P990 camera isn´t suited for landscape photos, there are some problems to be corrected, because the images turn up too blured and soft that way
Close up photos with macro mode turn up nicely though, very very good
Also, remember to keep really still after focusing, specially in low light situations

And silly me was worrying that the camera in my phone was faulty. I was puzzled by how the camera never reports problems with auto-focus until I looked at the photos

One more bug to hope getting fixed in the next firmware.

i don't get it when you say the P990 camera is not suited for landscape mode. second, if you shake the phone while taking pictures, of course they get blurred, duh..and for a matter of fact this happnes on digital cameras as well.
other than that i am very happy with my camera quality. Most of my pix are not blurred, and I am also taking the digitals for printotus and when i show these to friends they are stunned.
i tried the flash (MXE-60) but they are not compatible so for me, the only thing I need is a flash, for indoors. that's all.
back to the topic, I take all my pics on Hi-res, and all on auto everything.
