Think this phone would be a good jump from a P900 but from my P910 it's disappointing. I only got it for the 3G and it was free so I can't complain.
It's a VF P990 and has:
Phone: CXC 162037 R5A006
Organizer: CXC 162036 R3A04
CDA: CDA162008/91 R2A04 [this is repeated for some reason]
A few of my miseries are:
What has SE done with the clock screensaver!
Finding my Handy Day calandar is a challenge. It isn't the 1st page on opening the flip like in the 910. I have to hunt through menus.
In flip closed the icons are present and I don't have the option to have them appear when I touch the jog dial.
I can't access the clock with one tap and it is jolly hard to put speaker phone on when you are on a call.
I'm also finding the calendar crahses.
When is the next phone coming out!!!

Use SEUS to update to the newest firmware. I did it last night and the phone just feels so much nicer. Some good things have changed too

Latest is R3B01 -- and this is the organiser version. Use that one since it describes the correct software.

Is this still the latest version? I know that is what is posted as the latest in another thread, but I read about someone updating their P990 last night (9th Oct pm) and working a load better.

I did try to go to the SEUS to check this out a few days ago but the 1st page kept re-loading.
Love to hear from someone what to do or if I have the latest FW.
