Hi guys,

Was wondering if anyone could tell me if there's a way to find out what date my free texts start?

I'm out of credit but I'm sure my month must be starting anyday now, and I don't want to top up again as I never use this phone for calling, just texting.

I don't think there's a way, but worth a shot huh!

Cheers
Alec

I thought you still have to top up £10 to get the 300 sms.

However can you not just request the ballance and wont this tell you?

@Alec

You obviously do not understand how the tariff on these sim cards works. You do not just get 300 free txts every month. You must top up a minimum of £10 a month on or after the date of your last top up.

I know precisely how they work guys

I've been using it for about 3 years?! Something like that.

Anyway to clarify. I've topped up ooo'errrr at least £20 this month maybe £30 having used my 300 texts and my question was, is there a way i can find out the date that my new set of texts will come, seeing as I've topped up enough to receive them.

Thank you

If you topped up on the 13th of october for example that was the date your free texts started from. If you top up £10 you get 300 messages free, If you top up £15 you get 500, and for a £30 top up you get 1000 messages. If you use your free texts you have to wait until the 13th of november before you can top up again and get another set of free messages.

So whatever the date of your last top up was, is the date that your free texts starts again, but you still have to top up a minimum of £10 you don't just keep getting them?!

Anyway to answer your actual question, I think the only way of finding out is by checking your o2 account online, or at least I think you can. If not then no there is no way other than remembering the date you topped up last.

Try calling 4444 and press 2, then 2, then 2, then 2 again and it should tell you.
