I've just discovered that by converting any audio file to the M4a (or AAC/ AAC+, the extension is the same) format and copying it to the Memory Stick, it becomes usable as the soundtrack for the videos recorded by SE phones.
I hope others will find this useful. It definitely works fine in my W850i.
