I know a few people have talked about this and i wanted to try it out. So i've setup my google calendar to sync with my P990 and it works perfectly

for anyone interested i did the following, it was really easy to setup and quite impressive

1. I registered with goosync's website and input my gmail details
2. after registration i input my phone number and it sent me a password sms auto setup - this then created a remotesync profile on my P990i and it now allows me to update my phone or google calendar and it syncs the 2 without any need for extra software on my phone
3. I use a mac so i setup a remote calander sync with ical and i can now have my google calendar view on my mac's ical and my phone

Only problem i have is that entries i put into ical cannot update google calendar ... yet!

i've heard that goosync will shortly be able to sync contacts with gmail too - can't wait

anyway i would recommend this to anyone who uses gmail's calendar functionality and thought i'd share the ease of use and power of this

@sixpackbud

make sure your google calender isn't set to 'read only'

goosync dosent support recurring events or contacts for now. But hopefully the situation will change soon as its a google initiative.
