> R520m SW what is the new ver?

Hi i sometimes use a prototype of the old R520m and have not made any sw upgrades, my curent ver is:
R1F
prg CXC125293
R1E
prg CXC125147_TAE
Is there a new sw ver. and can the service points upgrade the prototype?

Latest SW for R520m is R3B, GPRS & Email doesn´t work on R1 SW so you better upgrade if your using the phone, there should be no problem having your phone upgraded with new SW.

yes you can upgrade your R520 to R3B. but once you upgrade it, you experience such problems. like it hangs all the time! because your hardware doesnt support the new features.. i mean you have the old hardware version R1A.. hope it helps..

I have hw R1B and had no problem with sw upgrade. Only difference between hw R1A and R1B is which version of SW that were loaded from production plant.

There should be no problem upgrading your phone to newest sw if it's a hw R1A.

If you remove the battery there is a label where it says KRC xxx xxx Rxx (or Pxx) if it's an early prototype.
