Hi. Well I have an unlocked phone I bought and I'm using it on the cingular network. T68m upgraded to T68i. Well, I used the information found on http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=12208&forum=14#post151470. But everytime I turn off the phone my DATA account gets erased.. Whats the deal?

Oh, and is 1 meg a month for 6.99 from cingular really enough? And is this total bandwidth or just recieved??

Thanks man. I put the stuff back in and now I can't get on the internet. Just "Connecting." Cingular sucks.

MixMasterHank, the problem really has nothing to do with Cingular although there is enough to complain about with them. As dok_knight2006 stated, it's a problem with your firmware version.

If you don't have any data accounts (not even the permanent ones) in your phone when you turn it back on, the best thing is to have these permanent ones set up for you. Call 611, describe your problem, and you'll get through to tech support. If you are signed up for the Wireless Express service (GPRS), then they will send you an SMS after which you'll have the permanent accounts. You'll get one for GPRS, one for CSD (dial-up), and one for CSD when roaming. These will remain in phone memory even after a power-cycle. Give it a try!

1MB/month is usually enough unless you use your phone as a GPRS modem for notebook/PDA. And they charge for up- and downloads.

Unfortunately there is only one location in the US where you can obtain authorized firmware upgrades which is in MN. Check here for more inormation:

I've been having the exact same problem. My provider is T-mobile. The phone has placeholders for the two T-mobile account types (T-zones and T-mobile internet), but the settings were not included and the accounts can't be edited. T-mobile didn't seem to think the problem could be solved by sending an SMS. They had me send it to Sony Ericsson. Sony Ericsson upgraded the firmware and sent it back but I'm still having the same problem and have been told to send it back again. Its a drag.

If you purchased the phone recently, I would exchange for a new one from your dealer. I had the same problem and I went back to the dealer and got a new phone. And it seems to be fine even though they have the identical firmware R2F
