I had been having problems conecting my W800i to my PC via the cable and was often faced with the message "USB Device malfunctioned / not recognized" but after trying it several times it would eventually be recognized.

After transfering MP3s using Disc2Phone i would unplug the phone and only 1 or 2 tracks would be there or sometimes none at all.

growing frustrated and reading the forum i decided a 'software update' was my best bet (from SEUS). after trying literally hundereds of times to get the program to recognize the phone, update started. when it finished i unplugged my phone but it would not turn on. I tried updating the software again but when i eventually got through it said i already have the latest updates.

My phone will still not turn on and will now not be recognized by my PC.
i have tried to look for a local sevice centre on the SE site but the search wont work.

I would be extremely grateful for any help fixing this problem and this forum has been really useful so far.

I faced the same f**King problem tonite. I reached the last stage of flashing the downloaded update when SEUS returned to the start screen. And since then the phone has refused to start ON. Trying again to update gives a msg "you already have the latest software"

Have you solved the problem? Can anyone who knows about this please help?
