I seem to be having loads of problems with my T-Mobile account at the moment – what the problem is, is that I was sent out a SE k800i phone but it had a firmware bug and the icons in the menu all disappeared, I phoned there support line and was told they would send me a new hand set out…. I like the way they use the word new because the actual hand set I received was a refurbished one, and lone behold this “new” handset also had a problem (the buttons on the exterior of the case wouldn’t press in), so again I phone them up and was told another new handset would be sent out for me, the new handset arrived and what a surprise this hand set also was a refurb but had a big cut out of the screen where they had removed another operators logo from the front of the phone, so I phoned them up again, obviously quite ****ed off by now, and this time I decided I would just phone up and cancel the contract (had only had it for 28 days) and I was informed that I couldn’t cancel my contract unless I paid them a fee of 570 pounds, I questioned why I would have to pay this fee because I only have a 12 month contract with them and that 570 was more then the costs for the entire duration of the contract for the support team person to tell me I’m not on a 12 month contract and that I have signed in to a 18 month one (the document they sent me says 12 months) so I argued on with the sales person for awhile trying to get them to sort my problem to finally get put through to someone she said could help me, and yet again I had been put through to the handset replacement line and had them tell me that I should have only had one replacement handset sent out and that I had now reached my limit of replacement handsets and that they wouldn’t send me anymore and would only repair the handset that I had, anyway after arguing on about having to pay for my handset in the first place and that the refurb handsets they had been sending me where unacceptable she finally told me that they had no new SE k800i handsets in stock and that’s why I had been receiving the refurb ones, she then told me I would get a phone call in the next few days to have a full new factory sealed k800i pack sent out…… this was last Wednesday and I’m still to receive a call, does anyone know what I should do? And if I have any rights to cancel my contract without a fee or who I can contact to help with advice on this subject?

As far as i am aware the lay does state you have 7 workin days to cancel the contract if purchased over there telephone or the net-i'm pretty sure that this is extended should all of the goods you recieved be faulty from the day of purchase! Best advice is to email then from the website but use the complaints link (as i'm sure they will resolve your issues quickly) and not the something is not workin option! Let us know how you get on

Phoned them directly today - got talking to a really nice guy (Craig) and after explaining everything that had happened he said he would send me a full new k800i box and also give me this months line rental half price because of all the trouble, so i should get my brand new k800i tomorrow
