> P990 multiple bluetooth pairing
Bookmark topic
Hi,
I think the answer to this is no, but can I pair my P990 to more than bluetooth device simultaneously? ie bluetooth GPS receiver and headset? Or stereo headset and the new bluetooth watch?
Thanks

if you mean 'paired' at the same time then yes, you can have many devices paired at any times
if you mean 'active' at the same time, then I'm not so sure as I haven't actually tried that

Yes - I mean 'active'. I would like to use at least 2 devices at the same time.
Thanks

I run a bluetooth handsfree(HCB-300) and a GPS device simultaniosly no problems.
However sometimes with wayfinder (wayfinder.com) the audio for navigation insructions wont start working after the convosation on the bluetooth handsfree. I think this is only after it trys to instruct while on the phone then it finds it cant and an error occors but the onscreen navigation is uneffected! The GPS continues to feed the data during the call - I was impressed!
Also my gps device is a cheap polstar thing.
Hope that helps.
EDIT:
The bluetooth watch is designed to be used with a bluetooth headset/handsfree.
However I have seen nothing stating the compatibility level between the watch and the P990 as last time I looked (a few seconds ago) its not on the compatiblitiy list. I would expect partial compatiblity.
By the by I think it was axxxr that reported it was part of a Fossil/:se: partnership so fossil have a BT watch also - worth a look. I expect BT compatiblity matches the

one - however this should mean BT standards are being adhered too on both watches and increase the compatiblity on any handset. But I still doubt full UIQ3 compatiblity.

Looks like I'll be OK in the car then.
According to SE the watch will work with UIQ3 except for the SMS notification.
So out of the car what I want to be able to do is be listening to my MP3's with my stereo BT headset with my phone in my jacket pocket. Then if a call comes in, I can check the watch to see who is calling, reject on the watch if I don't want the call and answer on the BT headset if I do.
Would be nice to be able to answer the call via the watch but I think it's just to reject calls.

Further checks reveal - your right! Answer through headset reject through watch.
