Welcome to esato

Sounds strange to me... Try to tell some more about your problem. When did this problem start? When you bought your phone? Installed the memory card?? or just recently by itself???

I bought the phone earlier this year (2-3 months ago) and I had no problems with it, about one week ago i noticed that I couldn't access games and application folders.

Hi there

On this otherwise absolutely lovely phone, I experience exactly the same problem!

k800i, firmware R1ED001, 1GB memory card with lots of space free.

(I think) the problems started when downloaded my photos from the memorycard to laptop using WinXP's picture downloading with auto-deleting the originals from the mem-card. After that, disconnected with the correct procedure by stopping the device from the system tray, and disconnected the USB cable.

Remember that there was immediately some peculiar error message that said something like "please insert the memory card" although I hadnt removed it. I took it out and put it in again. Restarted the phone, too.

Later, realized that the application and the game folders didnt work anymore....

Have had another strange problem too: sometimes the list of calls made gets corrupted - I have to delete the whole list and then it starts working again, but from scratch. A little disturbing since I sometimes check the time when certain things happened from that "Call log"

Really hope someone can help me because I really dont want to give away the phone to service - using the camera daily!!!

Tom

I have heard the problem is because of the latest update and that it should be fixed on the next update, but I don't know if that's true.

Does anyone know how long until next update arrives?

Yeah I saw it there in the buglist in some fw-update-thread
Nothing about how to solve the prob, thou
Have tried, so far:
- hard reset (take out battery & SIMcard while phone is on), with and without the memory card
- resetting all settings
- looked for folders "application" and "games" using PC-connection
- re-flashing the fw by SE's PC-update-tool
- tried reinstalling applications like opera mini and shozu

i had the same problem too but don't know whether it's cause by the USB connection or I did play around with the 'Clean up keys' in the 'Memory status'.

I've tried master reset but it doesn't work and finally send to service center to upgrade software to R1EJ001.

With the R1EJ001, the Memory status still show Games & Applications 0 B.

I've had this problem (assuming it says "operation failed") as have many people on this forum, it's a common problem by the sounds of it

here is what I did to solve it (thanks to help on this forum)

-Take any java application. Using the data cable, move it to the "other" folder on the memory stick
- Run the program in the phone, it will ask where you want to save it
- Then run the java program and it should work
