got 400gbp ($1000aud) to spend on a new phone

not sure if i want to spend all of it though.....

Ive been saying im going to get a p990i for a while, but recently ive been attracted to the w950i as well, slightly the n93 and o2 xda atom exec.

Im really looking for a phone with wifi so that i do not have to sit at my computer any more, but if i get the w950i, i wouldnt mind. Just means i need to use my comp still

so, any suggestions for 'high end' phones, why to choose one phone over another?

is favourite, but will look at other brandsof course....

the n93 is not touch screen though

I cant wait for the n95......i need to buy a phone within a few days, by monay evening i want to purchase.....As i would have gotten my money from my w850i sale and 6288 sale....

As an N93 owner but also a M600 owner if you can live without a touchscreen as they are only good in certain light i would highly recommend the N93.

It is much faster than UIQ3 even data entry in landscape/laptop mode becomes quite fast. The screen is readable in virtually all lighting conditions and video playback is excellent. The camera is good and Video recording best in class 30fps @640x480 with further improvements in the soon to be released and announced firmware.

The Gallery for photos is also good although separate folders would of been better. The only thing the P990 is better at is Music via bluetooth headsets as has A2DP bluetooth profile. The N93 is far more customisable than UIQ3 and has WiFi b and g. It is a large smart phone but oozes quality and class IMO. But you really need to decide what is most important to you. It also comes with a 1100aMh Li-Polymer and even with heavy use easily lasts a day. Read the forums and see what people say about the different phones and decide from what you want it to do and prefer there is no wrong choice only the best for you.

Am i wrong in saying there is a new se battery coming out, the bst-34 or something for the p990?
Ive got nothing against the n93 really, apart from size and no qwerty keyboard. With the whole wifi thing, ill be typing on esato a bit and msn, etc....

It will be my first symbian phone which ever i choose. The o2 xda atom exec specs look good, my brothers mate has one but i havent had a chance to use it. Though that doesnt have a keyboard, only infrared key board with exec model....

The w950i is attracting me more now than ever, its looks, features etc. It has no cam i know, but after having a k750, k800 etc, i didnt even use the cam that much...but it dont have wifi.....but something about it attracts me....

again its my first symbian phone, and really cant choose which 1 i want, i guess i could sell which ever 1 i buy if i dont like it after a while and buy another one of the aobve phones, as value is sorta similar....

@dogmann - Why is it NOT possible to CREATE new/SUB-folders just like in any other fone models too mate

If NOT, then this is kinda really strange as it's a hi-end fone

They do have their own folders but all pictures and videos show when you open the gallery, not terrible but slightly annoying. I mean do i really need to see all the Tom Tom poi's and voice pictures in there i think not.

If you really don't need a business phone, Office Docs etc and you are into music I would advise the W950 over the P990. In fact unless you are an experienced P series user and have the patience of a saint i personally wouldn't recommend the P990 at all but this is only MO. Others here will tell you its the best phone ever and you won't regret it. It is your decision but i would advise reading as many threads on what ever you choose from a few Forums and then make your own mind up as to what is going to do what you want the best.
