Hi Fatreg,
Due to the vastly increased security measures of these new Symbian phones they can't even get file explorers to gain access to all the files and folders on all the drives. The chances of anyone working out how to unlock never mind debrand any of these phones IMO is remote at best. In much the same way as lots of people have claimed they will be able to unlock BB5 phones and yet still no solution. It looks like the manufacturers along with the Networks have now made it impossible for unlocking or debranding to take place on certain handsets and the list seems to be growing IMO.

There must be a way... Its just finding it. I mean this could be vague but would it not be possible to emulate how the SEUS updates firmware? Only problem is getting the generic firmware I guess. What software do service centre's use?

@waynep16,
OK you may have access to them but can you delete or change any of the protected folders as if so there may be hope but i believe you will of been the first. As many have stated it does not grant them access to the protected folders and those are the ones you need to effect the changes you wish to make.

is there any update on this?

only had my 950i 3 days and already the vodafone startup screen is doing my **** in.

does anybody else have this on voda? if so, if you turn the phone off and then plug it into charge do you just get the red screen and voda logo? no actual guide as to how charged the battery is?

i have also found the only way (for me) to get rid of this is to take out the battery and turn on the phone, i cant simply turn it on from being off and charging.

hi guys
i desperately need help and a quick reply!!
i have a w950i on orange, i downloaded KK and purchased credit, i use dthe guide here: nd-your-p990i-m600i-w950i.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow]http://blog.artesea.co.uk/200[....]nd-your-p990i-m600i-w950i.html

to do it.
After de-branding i formatted and master reset, and i checked the CDA's, i had the old orange one and the new world generic...fine

But wen i ran SEUS, it is saying that ther are no updates available!!!! I think its still running off the old firmware? How can i now get it it to world generic 1?

Quick reply please, in urgent need

Thankyou
