Hi, I had to have a replacement (new under insurance) handset this week as the screen had failed on my existing handset. I was able to make a normal back-up via the cradle - DSS-25 of the existing, damaged handset. This worked perfectly.
When I tried to perform a Restore operation to the new handset it will not work. It gets a fair way through the process saying 'initialising' 'checking phone for files' etc and then it just hangs forever with the phone just saying 'restore in progress'.
I can synch and I can even back-up but I need to restore all my original settings, speed dials, photos, video clips, ring tones etc.
I have had a replacement handset before and never had any trouble. My provider, Orange say it is a handest issue and therefore speak to Sony Ericsson whom have not found a resolution as yet.
Can anyone help as I would really just like all my original settings back?
