Dear Pals,
I own a K750i which due to some joystick problem was given to one of the service centre in Mumbai (India).I got the mobile back but the mobile was of no use.Has they had crashed the OS.Which according to them i had to take to another service centre in Mumbai (India). The mobile was handed over to them on 16th September 2006.I have all the documents given by them when i handed over the mobile to them.I make them calls on a daily basis they say it is still with Delhi Headoffice and is under repair. When i call up the customer support centre of India they say they will be calling up within two days.I call them up every week for last two months.Friends till now they say they will call within two days for which i am waiting. The warranty of my mobile got expired on 16th November 2006.Before submitting the mobile it was under warranty.
Friends even i suggested them dont repair the mobile just hand over the mobile. Is this kind of service the Sony Ericsson is providing to the customers. Please anyone of you feel pity on my and help me out. What should i do to get my mobile back.Or is it that i should forget my mobile for ever which i had purchased for Rs.18000/-.
Will suggest everyone it was a very good mobile. One of the best but due to service centres irresponsibility i have to face all the problem.

Please help me!!!

Thanks,
Jithu Mohanan

Perfectly Right.....

My Friend we defiantly need to do something about the SE Service in India. It’s horrible.
Today One of Friends took His dead W800i to the service centre in Ernakulam. They couldn’t repair it for Him instead they charged Him Rs.150/- as inspection charges. Later on He took it to a local service Person (not authorized by SE) who repaired it for him.

Now My Question is If They (SE Authorized Service Persons) don’t know their Job then why the Hell are they there for? To Charge Us for Tolerating their Funny faces??????

SONY ERICSSON’s Service in India SUCKS Big Time……..

This has to Change or else SONY ERICSSON will be out of the Indian Market Soon…..!

I'm sorry to hear you guys are having troubles with se service.

As far as my experience goes se service is exceptional (i'm located in delhi).
I've owned quite a few se phones over the years and whenever the need for servicing has arised i've always had same day service (one hour service for software related errors) and have only had to part with the phone for maximun half a day.
All covered under their warranty and free as well (even when i dropped my k700 and its camera button stopped working).

Samsung service is fast too as per my experience.

Motorola was amazing and picked up my bro's v3 from home when it needed help.

Nokia have the worst service in my experience......delayed and hardly helpful but then that would be due to the very high nokia sales in India.

Hmm...I've used the SE service centres in Mumbai quite frequently during my pre-WM days ...and have never found the service anything short of exceptional ( particularly the one at Commerce Centre, Tardeo).. Perhaps the people there have changed over the years

Service good for some. But seriuosly bad for all. This is not a issue with me.I know about the forums and to fight against them. But there are many people i know you are still facing the problem. These people never speak out. They are helpless and know they are going to get nothing. Some of them go for new mobile phone or sometimes go for nothing.Talking about other mobile service centres i know nokia takes a day or replace the piece. But for me these people are not repairing nor they are ready to replace. All the customer support executives have different update. Some say still in repair and no charges. Some say it you will get a new mobile. And if we call them up after two days they tell who told you???we cant remember each them of there names.till now for the last two months i have called them for around 50 to 60 times and has this STD call they keep holding us.

But remember friends. There is always one answer for all kind of problem.please keep these words in mind.

WE HAVE FOUND SOME LIQUID DAMAGES IN YOUR MOBILE AND HENCE YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE SAME.

now why the hell they are going for this.
Please remember this is always repeated to each and every one whoever send the mobile to repair.
Sony Ericsson make there mobile have lots of great ads.But no serivceing. It will be provided by the people who knows repairing of mobile and that too less charge.
SonyEricsson mobiles should be called as disposable mobile.Think the technology has not come but these people have started it thing is that the mobile is costly and you should thow the piece within the warranty period and if possible give it to the sony ericsson service centre. So that your mobile will be used as R&D mobile for the new service centre training.

friends i will recommend of forming community and get against the company which is not suitable for indian market.
We faced problems but lets take care that others dont face such problems.

Ive had 5 SE phones till now (T105 > J200i > J210i > K700i > Z550i.) and every time I've needed to service one of them I've always had good service. In fact when my K700i got BADLY damaged after a fall from a moving vehicle they took the phone and didn't even charge me a rupee as they couldn't fix it (It didn't have a warranty.)

its not SE's fault when you get bad service. its the people who work their.
not everybody works for their ideal company. if you're are up to the task, why not try to work for SE yourself? so you can do the correct job forevery one.

well said, bart.
@jithu..If you buy a phone, taking care against any contollable damage...is YOUR responsibility..why blame the service centre... you sound angrier at yourself for not having been able to take care of your phone than anything else...

Well i have used 2 se phones till date and many nokia phones till date ..i would like to say that nokia is very bad in their service ...
and abt se sevice being faulty ..well i don t think so ..

Before p990 i had a w800i and guess what guys ...i got it replaced "thrice" yes u heard that right, during the warranty period...the headphones were replaced once and Joystick i used to get it cleaned every 2 months and that also hand to hand .used to give them and they would give me back in max 15-20 mintes..
and the replacements time:I got once in 2 days and other one in 5 days and only once it took 7 days ...

Ya once i had a problem, my led's stoppd workin which took 28 days to get repiared..but taking the other things in account i forgive them for this ..

Now i dont think that service sucks....

and i am still usin my w800 which is over a year old now and its workin fine...
