Hi,

My SE W550i has the firmware R4CB020 and I want to update it. I regularly use my included USB cable for file transfers and synchronisation. I downlaoded Update Service from SEs website.

I installed and ran it. It told me to go through some complicated steps like turning off my phone removing my SIM card, then pressing C and while keeping it pressed insert the USB cable. After complying with all this my PC (Win XP) installed some USB flash drivers.

After that, I restarted and ran Update Service again. But instead of updating my firmware, it again brought me to the same screen asking me to repeat those steps again. What should I do?

Any suggestions? What is the current version of W550i firmware?

Make sure that you have SEUS ver. 2.6.11.7 installed. Uninstall any previous SEUS version..if problem persists, stop using SEUS or you'll damage ur phone..why don't you try FOTA? It's way safer..

Firmware Over The Air. It's updating your f/w directly from the phone via GPRS. It's on Update Service-- Search Update..good luck.
