Thought I'd start a new topic about break ups having just split up with my girlfriend 3 hours ago.

What do you normally do to cheer yourself up when you break up ?

Pub ?
Strip Club ?
Herbal pick me ups ?
Jump in bed and sleep ?
48 hours of watching DVD's/Playing games/On internet ?
Phone an ex girl/boy-friend ?

Me. I gotta take me sister to an interview early tomorrow morning so cannot get drunk and also got me Granmother's funeral on Wednesday so I think it'll be the playing DVD's/games/internet option until the weeks over with.
Oh and I'm off work at the moment for 4 weeks under Doctors orders cos me blood pressure is high and nerves.

Sorry to hear that.

But even if you wouldn't have to drive your sister, getting drunk is the most stupid thing to do, you feel horrible next day and it doesn't change anything.

Wouldn't watch movies or play games on the internet for 48 hours, but for a few hours, it's a very good distraction.
Women would go shopping (I would buy a new phone ), maybe there's something you would like to buy, when you can, do it.
Do you have a dog ? Then take him for a long walk, it's good for your blood pressure. Of course you can also walk without a dog.
And sure, call someone you like and trust, someone, who is able to listen, doesn't have to be an ex, but when you managed to stay good friends, why not ?

Maybe a new hobby, or an old one, you didn't have time for lately ?

Or a short trip to a place you like (not one you visited with your girlfriend though) ?

Sorry about the break up man. Yeah, I'd suggest action movies as well. Stay away from music, most of it will remind you of her. Interestingly I'm in a process of breaking up with mine. I intend to call it off but don't know how. Call me a coward but she and I aren't going anywhere and I can't pretend anymore.

Sorry for your break up. But in that situation I would listen to mu favourite music which will SURELY make me feel better and heppier than ever before - Death Metal Man, that music is relaxing me . I know that someone would never understand how can that kind of music relax me, but that's it. For forgeting the biggest problems the cure is the death metal . Try downloading: Cradle of Filth - Black Metal. This is kinda strange way but it works for me

Thanks

@staz - Well, well, well . . . when I saw your pic together here . . . I know it will NOT last just kidding mate . . . good thing that you were together just for over how many months pal? It will be hard if you've been together for years . . . Give it some more time as you might be reconciled with your - again

Just don't get involve this SOON with another babe . . . just to show her that's she's replaceable . . . as fast as can be - too

In life . . . I am more at ease to be alone, rather than with a partner (or even friends at that) . . that's why I do not worry much if ever the time will come that someone will break-up with me

Try to be more active here (again) in the Forums - Andy, you have your 2nd family (here) . . . waiting . . .

Cheers!
