I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but I didn't come up with anything using the search.
In every calendar entry I make in Outlook I write a little something in the bottom section (notes). when i synchronize the outlook calendar with the phone calendar the entry contains all the info (name, time, place,..) except the notes (I thing it should be in the second tab of the calendar entry in the phone). Is that normal or is it a bug? The whole entry does not mean a lot to me without those explanatory notes. I've tried to export the calendar from outlook (.csv) and then import it to Google Calendar, but again there is no notes. is it because I'm using Outlook 2007 or is that a function that only I find important

and noone can be bothered by it.
Thank you!

You didnt specify your phone....
However this syncs just fine for me using M600i and Outlook 2003. All fields are there including notes in the calendar appointent (3rd tab).
It is an important function for me - very much so. I use it all the time to add more info, sometimes I even cut and paste web links or an entire e-mail or directions in that field.
Maybe you can check if your sycing preferences in SE Suite includes Notes. You may have it turned off in the SE Syn Manager settings?

I'm using office 2007 and P990
In p990 I have only 2 tabs for each calendar entry. the first one shows name, date, time, location,..., the second one if for the notes. this tab is empty after synchronization even though I have entered some info in outlook.
The notes in the PC Suite sync is for different notes, but just to be sure I've checked it prior sync. The note tab in calendar entry is stil empty

Om my k700 with Outlook 2003 the notes are synced (within the calendar). However there seems to be a limit to the number of characters the phone can hold.
It is very useful indeed (adress & phone of restaurant e.g.)

It could be the PCSuite is not compatible with Outlook 2007...
I use Outlook 2003 and a P990, and all syncs fine.
Regarding two or three tabs:
If there's more than one participant in a meeting, there is an extra tab for those. Otherwise it is just two. Times etc. and notes.

I have another odd problem with calendar syncing with M600i. While an entry syncs seamlessly, if I change the reminder/alarm time in outlook for the entry (calendar or task), the changed alarm time is not synced. M600 retains its original alarm time.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Dear all
I am happy to hear that somebody succeed in syncing M600i with Outlook calendar using SE PC Suite.
Personally I'm trying since some months, getting always the same trouble:
- contacs, notes, ... are correctly updated, totally or incrementally
- calendar is updated ONLY if completely transferred from PC to mobile or from Mobile to PC
- performing an incremental update, calendar is NEVER aligned, regardless any period is set: "incompatibility between types or values: XXXXXXXX invalid under this conditions" where XXXXXXX is date and time of the day
- I tried either with Outlook 2000 and 2003 on two different PCs, so should not be a matter of Outlook corrupted files like answered by SE technical team
- I tried also on two different M600i mobiles, so should not be related to an hw bug
- I tried with different fw versions
- I tried both USB and Bluetooth connection
Fw on M600i mobile is the last one available:
mobile: CXC162037 R9F011
Organizer: CXC162071 R6A16
Sw on PC is updated to "Sony Ericsson PC Suite for Smart Phones 1.3.22.exe", under windows XP Professional version 2002, Service Pack 2
Can anybody help me ?
Many thanks

Ok, finally I solved the matter of date format.
Using controlpanel -> International settings you have to customize the date format. What I have seen is that the year has to be 2 chars, the month has to be set to only 1 (it is automatically forced to two for months from 10 to 12). In other words 01, 02, ... are not accepted, they have to be 1, 2, ...
So, my choice is dd/m/yy, and is the only that works.
Anyway SE Suite is full of bugs. An examples: synchronizing recursive events that fall every month on last working day, each item is transferred into 4 events is last week of the month.
Furthermore, there is no possibility to customize the M600i - Outlook field mapping (it was possible indeed with XTDN and my old T39m), so some fields are lost and other are tranferred into meaningless fields.
Does anybody know any better sw to sync contacts and calendar between M600i and Outlook ?
