hey guys i live in the U.S. and I just got the w810 from Cingular. I had an unlocked w800 before and I was able to use my own songs as ringtones as well as do some other things. However, I just found out that Cingular prevents you from using your own mp3s as ringtones in their own phones. Is there a way to get around this? I can't believe I didn't see this before. thanks.

Yeah Cingular really sucks. I only use unlocked phones on tmob. You have to get your phone unlocked to get around that. Check the K750/W800/W810 thread to find out more.

yeah i used an unlocked w800 with Tmobile last year and that was cool; paying so much for it wasn't lol. I thought since Cingular offered it and I didn't have to pay, i might as well take it.
